The HiPath 8000 can be deployed as both an overlay network with smooth migration of existing users, or as a complete replacement for traditional PBX systems. The global license model eases deployments and minimizes costs, and the support of existing Siemens HiPath 3000 and 4000 systems as Survivable Media Gateways, ensures investment protection.

Enterprise solutions require multiple products to work seamlessly together. The most basic HiPath 8000 solution includes the HiPath 8000 as the Softswitch, which is connected to:

• Media Servers
• Gateways
• Applications
• Endpoints
